The Home of the Genoa Boat Show Illuminated as Evening Draws In

6th October 2014

Once a bustling trade-centre, Genoa exudes a cosmopolitan air throughout its narrow winding streets and busy squares. Its emerald green hills are decorated with historical landmarks from its once grand empire. Nowadays, its modern day glory is found at Genoa’s shores, old working ports and the annual Genoa Boat Show make it a must-visit for a luxury yacht charter in the Italian Riviera

The prestige of the Genoa International Boat Show comes to the city each October for the now 5-day event. Leaders from the superyacht and watersports world gather to showcase sail and motor yachts as well as exchange new ideas on the industry, with showcasing Italian craftsmanship particularly prevalent this year. The show also celebrates Genoa as a leading charter destination in the Mediterranean.

Home to Europe’s largest aquarium and one of the best maritime museums, exquisite fine dining opportunities such as I Tre Merli and Trattoria Rosmarino and palaces such as Palazzo Reale- showcasing the most lavish Renaissance style - there’s always something to do on a Genoa yacht charter. Travel to Old City, at the heart of medieval Genoa for a taste of what life in Northern Italy used to be like and visit La Lanterna to see one of the world’s largest and oldest lighthouses – still working to this day.

Talk to your preferred charter broker today about a trip to the city’s port, the apparent birthplace of Christopher Columbus and surrounding beauty and heritage on a Genoa yacht charter. Alternatively, browse all luxury yachts for charter in the Italian Riviera to find the perfect vessel for your needs.
