Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula

20th November 2013

Mexico’s Baja California coastline is one the region’s most compelling and popular charter destinations, graced with a tantalising fusion of varied landscapes and enticing beaches.

A Mexico luxury yacht charter is a great destination option for winter cruising vacations. Lying more than 1300 kilometres from Mexico City, the Baja California Peninsula encompasses an air of serene seclusion away from the hustle and bustle of built up tourist areas. Stretching over 1700 kilometres, it holds a myriad of treasures begging to be explored, from vast desert plains and hidden coves to remnants of ancient civilisations in cave paintings and breath-taking architecture.

The waters off of the Baja coast are renowned for their rich variety of thriving marine life, perfect for charterers looking to explore beneath the waterline and try out all of the toys and tenders on board their luxury yacht. Each year between December and April, the west coast becomes home to hordes of whales congregating to calve, while further south the turquoise waters of the Caribbean lap glorious white sand beaches.

With so many different itinerary options to suit all charter needs, from culture and history to endless watersports, Mexico is one of the world’s most exciting cruising destinations. There are a wide range of luxury charter yachts of all types available for bookings in the region, such as the 50m motor yacht AZTECA II and the 31m sailing yacht EROS.
