Find Your Own Piece of Paradise in the Bahamas this Winter

29th December 2014

It's no secret that the Bahamas are a favourite hotspot of superyacht charterers at this time year, but that doesn't make it any less special to visit. With hundreds of miles of pink-sand beaches, exotic marine life everywhere you take your snorkel and a conch salad stand on every corner, you can find your own secluded piece of paradise on a visit here.

Originally discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492, now 700 islands and 2400 cays now sit gracefully scattered in the Caribbean. Each bursting with their own personality, the beaches you come across are often ranked among the best in the world - with highlights including Treasure Cap in The Abacos, Golden Rock Beach on Grand Bahama Island and Harbour Island Beach.

Meet snapper jacks, schools of silver-plated tarpon, placid sea turtles and tiny seahorses with underwater exploration of depths over 200m on offer for those with an adventurous spirit. New Providence and Paradise Islands are particularly worthwhile a visit for their spectacular wrecks alone.

Or for the beach-dwellers, simply sit back and relax sipping on freshly-made coconut water and enjoy winter temperatures peaking at 23°C and averaging at 21°C, with little rainfall.

If a charter vacation in the Bahamas sounds like the ideal vacation for you this winter, contact your preferred charter broker to begin planning the perfect trip.
