Azure Waters of Sardinia’s Stunning Porto della Madonna

16th June 2014

Stretching between the three islets of Isola Budelli, Isola Razzoli and Isola di Santa Maria are the luminescent waters of the Porto della Madonna, a luminescent expanse of turquoise that laps rose-tinted beaches and hidden coves.

Sardinia has long been a popular summer superyacht destination, known for its ideal central Mediterranean location and breath taking backdrops. Lying off the coast of the Italian Riviera, the island embodies chic café culture with fantastic restaurants, shopping and nightlife as well as a rich history and strong cultural identity.

Sardinia is home to a number of world renowned sights, ports and towns, including Costa Smerelda, and the resort of Porto Cervo and the beautiful capital of Caligari. Surrounding the main island are an array of spectacular islands that create an unforgettable luxury charter itinerary, whether relaxing on a sailing yacht or speeding from island to island on a sleek sports yacht.

Making up the La Maddelena archipelago are seven main islands of and a scattering of smaller islets set over 50km of some of the finest cruising grounds in the region.  The archipelago has remained protected and unspoilt, home to thriving wildlife and National Parks such as the Parco Nazionale Arcipelago di La Maddalena.

To the north lies the trio of islands, Isola Budelli, Isola Razzoli and Isola di Santa Maria which are connected by a stretch of water that has become famous amongst discerning charterers for its breath taking beauty. The clarity of the waters are exceptional, broken only by wind-sculpted sandstone formations dotted along the coastlines and the pink tinged sands of the famous Spiaggia Rosa — Pink Beach.
