U-Boat Worx’s Newest Submersible to Appear at FLIBS 2015

By Editorial Team   22 October 2015

U-Boat Worx’s latest creation, the Super Yacht Sub 3, is to make its second public appearance at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November, following a successful debut at the Monaco Yacht Show last month.

Specially designed to fit the majority of superyachts, the new creation is said to be the most compact 3-person submersible ever built, and capable of establishing the vehicle as a standard add-on to luxury yachts. This would make the ability to explore the sea floor, ship wrecks, reefs and marine life on a charter yacht vacation even easier.

The break-through model is the first in a range of submersibles designed by the Dutch manufacturers U-Boat Worx and can operate submerged for up to eight hours.

A unique feature of the Super Yacht Sub 3 is its upgradable depth-rating. Starting with a 100-metre depth capability, an owner can choose to upgrade it to 200 metres or even 300 metres, in line with their own experience and capability.

Other notable components are the innovative Freeboard Extender, which makes sure occupants can open the hatch at the surface even when waves are high, and a MANTA controller that allows passengers to drive the submersible under supervision of a trained pilot.

Inside the Super Yacht Sub 3, passengers can enjoy luxurious leather seating arranged in a way that optimises the view for the pilot and two passengers.

U-Boat Worx will be one of a range of exhibitors related to the world of luxury yachts attending FLIBS 2015, taking place from 5th to 9th November. For more information on the Super Yacht Sub 3, pay a visit to U-Boat Worx on stand number 651 656.

There will also be a whole host of luxury yachts on show at the event, which you can arrange to visit by contacting your preferred charter broker.
