Renowned shipyard, Amels, has made a significant stride in the luxury yacht industry with the successful launch of its Amels 8001 model. This 80m (261ft) superyacht was seen outside her construction shed for the first time since its introduction in March 2022. The Amels 8001 is now set for her voyage to Damen Yachting's main shipyard in the Netherlands for the final outfitting stages.
The Amels 8001 is the first of the next generation of Amels Limited Editions motor yachts and is expected to be delivered to its new owner in 2025. This timeline is a testament to Damen Yachting’s fast delivery promise, a hallmark of the 50+ Amels Limited Editions delivered to date.
Featuring design input from by celebrated designer Espen Øino, the first Amels 80 boasts a modern exterior design, infused with sustainable materials and innovative hybrid technology. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the design studio behind the yacht's custom interiors, will start shaping the interiors once the yacht arrives in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.
Characterized by a neutral and natural palette, with materials treated to remain as pure as possible, this striking superyacht hosts many features including a 200sqm sun deck, a waterside beach club that opens on three sides, an indulgent wellness area and spa, a dedicated owner's deck, and large framed windows for sweeping views on the main deck. The yacht also houses a multitude of watercraft and toys, plus a helicopter landing area.
