From 17th May 2017, a glittering parade of Hollywood A-listers will descend on the beautiful French town of Cannes for a fortnight of film premiers, red carpet action and VIP events.
Adding to the glitz and glamour of the iconic festival will be a whole host of superyachts jostling for a space along the coveted Jetee Edouard Albert, located just a few steps away from the official venue, the Palais des Festivals.
Such is the popularity of the Cannes Film Festival, superyachts are even expected to drop anchor off the coast of the French Riviera between the Bay of Cannes, the Lerins Islands and the Cap d’Antibes.
Forming part of the glitterati, the superyachts are the setting of many an exclusive party attended by the rich and famous. Luxury charter yachts will be in show too, soaking up the star-studded surrounds and wowing with an array of corporate charter events.
Among the yachts open for charter at the event are Lurssen’s 73m/238ft superyacht ‘Coral Ocean’ and 70m/230ft superyacht ‘Martha Ann’, both of which are capable of entertaining on a grand scale and the perfect platform to see and be seen.
Also watch out for the 47m/155ft Sunseeker motor yacht ‘Princess AVK, Feadship’s 45m/146ft luxury yacht HARLE and the 53m/173ft motor yacht O’NEIRO from Golden Yachts, which are all anticipated to likewise be making an appearance.
