Superyachts arrive on the scene for Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2019

By Katia Damborsky   22 October 2019

A number of yachts have started arriving in Florida, as the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS 2019) prepares to open its doors in just over a weeks’ time.

The waterways of Fort Lauderdale are starting to get busy, as superyachts set course for the so-called ‘Yachting Capital of the World’ for the 60th edition of FLIBS.

Running between October 30 -  November 3, the boat show will attract some of the world’s most impressive new superyachts, with around 113 luxury yachts making their FLIBS debuts.

So far, 237 yachts measuring over 78ft (23.7m) have confirmed their attendance at the event, and the first yachts have started to arrive on the scene.

After the boat show winds down, EXCELLENCE will be available for Caribbean luxury yacht charters.

One such yacht is the brand new 262ft (80m) charter yacht EXCELLENCE.

Fresh from a double win at the Monaco Yacht Show, the spaceship-style superyacht made her inaugural voyage into US waters last week. After the boat show winds down, she will be available for Caribbean luxury yacht charters

Delivered by Abeking & Rasmussen with exterior and interiors from Winch Design, the yacht is sure to turn heads at FLIBS 2019. Her contemporary profile is complemented by large windows that ensure her interior layout is light-infused and airy; take a look at the first pictures inside EXCELLENCE.

The motor yacht is expected to be berthed at the brand new Superyacht Village, a brand new feature rolled out for 2019. She will be joined by the 272ft (83m) charter yacht ‘Here Comes the Sun’, an Amels-built motor yacht which was seen passing below the Seventeenth Street Causeway Bridge just a few days ago.

Footage below shows her docking smoothly at Pier Sixty-Six.

Other yachts on the scene include Heesen’s 180ft (55m) motor yacht ABBRACCI and 190ft (58m) luxury yacht  ‘Lady Sheridan’. Meanwhile, the 236ft (72m) superyacht SOLO is on the last leg of her transatlantic passage, and is expected to arrive into Fort Lauderdale over the coming days.

The yachts are expected to be berthed at the brand new Superyacht Village, a brand new feature rolled out for 2019.
