Superyacht ‘Julia Dorothy’ Hosts Air Jordan 1 Pop-Up At Art Basel Miami

Social Status and Jordan Brand kicked off Art Basel Miami on Friday 8^th December with an exclusive ‘Basel Vice’ pop-up event aboard the 31m/103ft Johnson motor yacht ‘Julia Dorothy’ to release the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG trainers.

Originally, the official pop-up location was at the Mondrian South Beach Hotel in Miami. However, this was only revealed on the day prior to the release and, following a huge public response, the venue forced the shop and brand to cancel the launch.

With hours to go, Social Status and Jordan Brand worked tirelessly to bring the pop-up experience back to life, with Julia Dorothy secured as the new pop-up host berthed in the city's One Island Park Marina.

The exclusive Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG trainers feature a duet of colour themes inspired by the retro art deco colour palette that dots the city of Miami.

Luxury yacht Julia Dorothy was launched by Johnson Yachts in 2008 and, refitted in 2014, is available for charter in the beautiful cruising grounds of Florida and the Bahamas.

While cruising in the region, charterers will be able to experience the very best in outdoor living on her sundeck, which is equipped with a Jacuzzi, wet bar, barbecue grill, sunpads and seating areas for getting together with friends and family over cocktails or a casual lunch.

More alfresco dining can be enjoyed on the main deck aft, while a swim platform allows guests to easily access the line-up of on-board water toys. Pick from paddle boards, kayaks and a Seabob, and there is also an inflatable water slide and trampoline.

Step inside the motor yacht and experience her timeless interior styling, which offers a warm and welcoming environment. Rich woods combine with dark brown leather sofas and pale-coloured upholstery, and state-of-the-art technology adds to the entertainment offer.

Up to eight guests can be accommodated during a private yacht charter in four staterooms, including a master suite, two double cabins and a twin cabin.
