Superyacht CHAKRA Completes Refit And Rejoins The Charter Fleet

By Oliver Pearson   18 August 2016

Extended by an impressive 13m and bearing a freshly painted exterior, the 86m/282ft motor yacht CHAKRA looked every bit the leading lady following the completion of her refit in Greece this week.

Spanning the course of three months, the refit carried out on CHAKRA has seen the motor yacht take on a modern edge to her original glamour.

Indeed, her interior spaces have been significantly lightened to produce a nicely relaxed ambience in both the communal and guest areas.

Beginning life as a commercial vessel in 1963, CHAKRA was converted into a superyacht back in 1998, cruising under the name Salem until being re-christened with the Indian expression for ‘the centre of spiritual power’.

Whilst undergoing something of a stylistic overhaul, much of the work has been motivated by functionality, with a generously proportioned swim platform providing charterers with even greater access to the water.

Exuding a youthful sophistication, the refitted CHAKRA looks to be one of the most refined superyachts available for charter

Attentive to the experience of being underway and at-anchor, a wholly new observation deck has been installed forward of the bridge- just the spot to enjoy a few cocktails and some socialising.

Featuring a well-appointed full-beam VIP suite, as well as an additional twenty cabins, superyacht CHAKRA is capable of accommodating an impressive total of forty guests.

Currently berthed in Greece, CHAKRA is once again open for private yacht charter vacations.
