The line-up for the 2015 Perini Navi Cup has been announced, with the multi-award winning 88m/289ft sailing yacht 'Maltese Falcon' the largest vessel of the fifteen expected to attend. The 6th edition of the regatta will take place from 2-5 September in Porto Cervo in North-East Sardinia.
One the most popular regatta's will once again arrive at the shores of Porto Cervo this September, as a fleet of some of the most recent Perini Navi deliveries - such as 60m/197ft S/Y 'Perseus^3' and S/Y 59m/192ft SEAHAWK - compete against some well-established classics from the Italian yard.
Superyacht 'Maltese Falcon' can undoubtedly be included in the grouping of iconic Perini Navi builds taking part. Her revolutionary DynaRig design was a great feat on her delivery in 2006, and she has continued to demonstrate excellent sailing performance both in regatta's and on charter vacations.
Chartered for the event by a Chinese client, Maltese Falcon can accommodate up to 12 guests in six staterooms, her standout features include an onboard massage therapist and the largest outdoor cinema in the global charter fleet.
Other superyachts attending include Spirit of the C's, Aquarius, Bayesian, Clan VIII, Elettra, Ellen, Jasali II, P2, Squall, and Xnoi.
Hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, the full race programme has been organised by the YCCS international race committee and will follow the new ORC SY handicapping rule system. A busy schedule of social events will also accompany the event for yacht owners and charterers.
