New Lurssen superyacht Madsummer starts sea trials

By Editorial team   7 May 2019

The new 95m Lurssen MADSUMMER was seen in Northern Germany, as she headed for sea trials in the Baltic Sea.

A replacement for the Owner’s previous 78m (257ft) Lurssen, also known as MADSUMMER and now sailing under the name ROCINANTE, this spectacular new yacht is designed by Harrison Eidsgaard, with her 10-cabin interior the work of Laura Sessa Romboli.

Interestingly, this will be the fourth superyacht to carry the name MADSUMMER and one of five new-builds to be delivered by German yard Lurssen in 2019. The other yachts will all be in excess of 100m.

When delivered, this MADSUMMER will claim 57th position in the Top 100 largest superyachts league. However, her smooth, flowing lines should ensure she stands tall even in bigger company.

On-board features are expected to include a 12m pool, extremely large for the yacht's length, a full spa, dive centre and heli-pad.
