From 29 April to May 3, the eighth edition of the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDY’S) will take place in the beautiful town of Nafplion, Greece, bringing together a total of 83 superyachts available for luxury yacht charter vacations.
Billed as the world’s largest charter show, MEDY’s 2023 is expected to be just as popular as last year’s show, attracting a wide range of yachting industry professionals and charter brokers from across the globe to witness the impressive line-up of sparkling superyachts as they gear up for a busy summer charter season ahead.
Organized by the Greek Yachting Association (GYA) with the critical support of the Municipality of Nafplion, the MEDYS arms all attendees with a wealth of valuable information and unparalleled insight into the world of Greek luxury charter yachting.
So, if you’re attending this year's Mediterranean yacht show and are considering renting a private yacht for your next vacation, be sure to check out the following must-see superyachts.
Currently, the largest yacht set to attend the show, the 85m (279ft) superyacht O’PTASIA stands out from the crowd with its excellent craftsmanship, desirable amenities and vast desk space. Delivered in 2018, the yacht is built in steel and aluminum by Greek yard Golden Yachts to a design by Studio Vafiadis, who was also responsible for the interior.
The motor yacht will take pride of place at the show, showcasing her award-winning elegant yet masculine exteriors and spacious beach club. Visitors lucky enough to step onboard can also admire her 95 square meter owner's suite on the upper deck that provides panoramic views from its elevated position, the large pool on the sundeck and the spacious cinema room, perfect for cozy evenings onboard.
Welcoming up to 12 guests across ten cabins, the 2,350 GT yacht is a real head-turner.
Fresh from her recent refit, the newly-relaunched 60m (196ft) superyacht O’EVA will be the third largest charter yacht in the show, boasting accommodation for 12 guests across six cabins, this CMN superyacht gives visitors a taste of the superyacht lifestyle.
Showgoers will particularly enjoy seeing the main social hub of the yacht, her sun-kissed top deck complete with a Jacuzzi and a wide range of surrounding sunpads, as well as an additional dining area that offers beautiful views and a more informal setting.
Accommodating 12 guests across six cabins, this luxury yacht is flexible for a variety of charter party configurations thanks to her versatile layout comprising a master suite, one VIP cabin, three double cabins and one twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 15 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.
A multi-award winning superyacht, the 55m (181 ft) yacht GECO ticks all the boxes. Boasting supremely elegant interiors coupled with ample deck space, this vessel is the perfect charter platform for sun lovers and fun-seekers. With a swim platform that’ll make you look twice, the eye-catching exteriors of the Admiral superyacht is the prime example of fresh design and forward-thinking innovation.
Designed with alfresco living in mind, the 477 GT yacht is a charter favorite with an abundance of trophies and awards to prove it. Bringing home the ‘Best Exterior Design’ trophy at the World Yachts Trophies 2020 and winning the ‘Best Motor Yachts over 40m’ award at The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2021, this superyacht is a must-see.
Among her many highlights, visitors are sure to be wowed by her spacious beach club and swim platform plus a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck that can double up as a lounge area. This will be the second time motor yacht GECO will appear at the MEDY’S after her appearance in 2022, and we can safely say that she will continue to draw plenty of attention.
Set to be the fifth time this yacht has attended the Mediterranean Yacht Show, the 50m (164ft) superyacht OURANOS will be showcasing her sleek and contemporary profile that maximizes space onboard.
Built to an immaculate standard by Italian shipyard Admiral Yachts, while this superyacht may have a strong first impression aesthetically, she boasts an intelligent layout, maintaining the below 500GT volume to create a super spacious yacht with global charter appeal.
Clients looking for their next charter yacht may also be impressed by the yacht’s large beach club that leads to a dreamy wellness area inside, the perfect space for guests to enjoy massages and treatments during their stay and also allows them to maintain their fitness routine in style.
A Benetti charter yacht that has hosted the likes of Christiano Ronaldo, the 47m (154ft) yacht AFRICA I is renowned for her stunning Francois Zuretti interiors and exceptional charter-focussed amenities.
Delivered in 2010 as part of Benetti’s Imagination Series, with a further extensive refit in 2020, this yacht presents itself as a true family-friendly yacht.
