Feadship superyacht GLADIATOR unveils new look

By Rebecca Bradbury   8 February 2019

Recently released images of the 45m/146ft luxury yacht GLADIATOR showcases her new look interior and deck spaces, following a significant refit in October 2018.

Built by Feadship in 2010, GLADIATOR embodies an unparalleled standard of comfort and quality. She was designed to provide the ambience of a ‘beach house on the water’ and, as the new photos reveal, her refit has remained true to her original aim to offer exceptional indoor-outdoor living.

Among the updated features are new soft furnishings, artworks, TVs and gym equipment. There has also been an AV/IT upgrade and a new 15m chase boat with a top speed of 45 knots and a double cabin for overnight excursions now forms part of the extensive water toy and tender collection.

In the main salon, the sofa boasts new upholstery and grey and silver-hued scatter cushions as well as a new coffee table. There is also a dining option and bar here, and a new painting adds an injection of colour into the surrounds. The extensive glazing continues to allow natural light to flood inside.

On the deck above, the skylounge has seen some improvements too. A dining table has been replaced by two armchairs. The deep sofa has been re-upholstered and is now joined by a large ottoman in a sumptuous forest green fabric and four smaller ottomans in deep mustard.

Fresh and modern, the salon tempts guests on a yacht charter to sit back and relax over a drink or while watching a movie from the widescreen television. Another highlight of the teak-clad salon is how it merges seamlessly with the aft deck area via large sliding doors, where al fresco dining takes centre stage.

Similar changes can be found across the accommodation. Fresh bed linen, lamps and decorative accessories add a contemporary vibe to the five cabins, including a master suite with a skylight on the main deck and four cabins that serve as either double or twin cabins on the lower deck.

The brand new gym equipment can be found in the beach club on the lower deck aft. Guests can exercise with the transom door open for a water-side work out with a view before relaxing just inches away from the ocean on the swim platform. There is a steam room here too.

Another top outdoor hangout on the motor yacht is the sundeck. Open to the sun is a spa pool and expanse of sun pads, providing panoramic views forward, while optional shade on the aft section creates a tranquil al fresco seating area perfect for a variety of occasions.

M/Y GLADIATOR is currently based in the Caribbean for the winter charter season and will be relocating to the Mediterranean later this year for the summer charter season.
