Dubai Boat Show 2018 gets ready to launch at brand new venue

By Rebecca Bradbury   23 February 2018

Bringing together hundreds of yachts, thousands of visitors and scores of exhibitors, the Dubai International Boat Show 2018 will get underway on Tuesday 27th February at the brand new location of the Dubai Canal, Jumeirah.

The show’s new home, which is the centrepiece of the city, has been generating much excitement during the build-up to the upcoming 28th edition but, as always, the main attraction will be the impressive fleet of world-class superyachts on display.

Among the top luxury yachts in attendance is a fine selection of charter yachts, including the 86m/282ft superyacht CHAKRA. Show-goers will certainly be keen to climb on board to check out her stunning conversion.

Her sheer scale alone ensures she cannot be missed lined up in the marina, while her spacious and modern interior, which incorporates a number of fun and quirky touches, is likewise impossible to go unnoticed.

The 72m/236ft charter yacht SERENITY from Austal will also be showing off her new refit. She now boasts a calm and contemporary interior from AskDeco and an inviting pool on her expansive sundeck among many other updates.

What's more, able to sleep up to 30 guests in 15 cabins, she is one of the rare motor yachts on the charter market that is able to accommodate more than 12 guests on a private yacht charter.

Running alongside the on-water display will be exhibits from renowned superyacht brands. Visitors will be able to find out the latest projects from the likes of Feadship, Oceanco, Amels and Sunseeker.

There will also be marine-related luxury brands showcasing their products and services, interactive sailing and diving zones, a water sports area and a retail village stocked with the latest nautical fashions.

The only proven platform for shipyards, superyachts and luxury suppliers in the region, the Dubai International Boat Show 2018 runs until Saturday 3rd March and is expected to attract close to 30,000 visitors.
