Greece and Russia have now established a temporary travel corridor that will come into effect from September 7, establishing a short window of time where Russian charterers can snap up a last-minute getaway on a yacht in Greece.
Yacht charters are the perfect luxury travel solution this summer and beyond; they provide a hygienic, self-contained safe haven at sea where guests can maintain Social Distancing and still enjoy an incredible vacation with plenty of opportunities for sightseeing, swimming, beach picnics and experiencing local culture.
This particular air corridor is only expected to exist between September 7 and September 21, and Russian visitors must produce a negative COVID-19 test result from a certified lab upon arrival in Greece.
September is a great time to visit Greece, as the air temperatures are still high, there are fewer crowds and the sea is warmer than it would have been at the start of the summer season.
Luckily, there are several yachts which are still offering discounted prices or special deals now. One of them is 116' (36m) motor yacht 'Can't Remember', which is offering a rate of €36,580 p/ week plus expenses, (down from €59,000). She's great for those in search of speed and style, with a jet black hull offset by pops of scarlet, and a superb sundeck and accommodation for a total of 12 guests.
The 143'2 (43.64m) charter yacht DALOLI is another superior option which is offering an enticing reduced rate. Her excellent selection of toys and and spacious swim platform with easy access to the water means she's an outstanding choice for family charters.
