Charter Lurssen Superyacht ‘Coral Ocean’ For Less in the Caribbean

By Rebecca Bradbury   17 October 2017

The iconic 73m/238ft motor yacht ‘Coral Ocean’ is offering a special weekly rate of $200,000 – down from $320,000 – on all charters taking place in the Bahamas and Caribbean after 15th January 2018.

Originally launched by Lurssen in 1994, Coral Ocean was shrouded in much secrecy until her arrival onto the charter scene last autumn and, as one of the defining masterpieces of the late Jon Bannenberg, she has been one of the most in-demand superyachts even since.

Over the past two decades, regular maintenance carried out at the German yard and an exceptional level of care has kept Coral Ocean in pristine condition, and her living areas remain as they were on the day of her launch. Now charterers can escape to the Caribbean on the iconic yacht in early 2018 and save $70,000.

Ahead of her time, luxury yacht Coral Ocean features a casual, beach house style of interior which combines actual driftwood with parchment, African tribal cloth, rough limestone, bronze taps adapted with conch shells and thick carpets designed to replicate the movement of waves.

The neutral colour palette of creams and browns, along with an extensive collection of Polynesian and African artwork bought at a New York aution by her original owner, creates a calming ambience which immediately puts guests at ease.

Other revolutionary features include a side shell in the main salon, which lifts up overhead to form a balcony overlooking the ocean. Take in views while reclining in the sumptuous lounge before hosting a formal dinner in the separate dining salon.

Illuminated by a huge skylight, the master suite takes up the prime position on the upper deck forward, while a VIP suite with floor-to-ceiling windows is found nearby. The four lower deck guest staterooms, meanwhile, include two double cabins and two twin cabins. In total, 12 guests can sleep on board.

Another highlight of the motor yacht is a gym and spa complex with a sauna on the lower deck. This can be accessed from the lower deck guest suites, and leads to the swim platform and beach club for waterside relaxation and entertainment.

Guests on a private charter vacation will also love spending their time on the sundeck. Take a dip in the recessed pool, complete with a counter current, before drying off in the beautiful Caribbean sunshine in the surrounding seating areas.

Alfresco dining is best enjoyed on the main deck aft, while casual get-togethers are well-suited to the top deck thanks to a central island bar and barbecue surrounded by 12 stools.
