German shipyard Lurssen have announced they have signed a contract for Project 13800, a 54m/177ft superyacht scheduled for spring 2021.
The superyacht called ‘Moon Sand’ is for a an experienced owner from Asia and will have a modern exterior and interior design created by Bannenberg & Rowell. The look will be ‘masculine but elegant’ over four decks with interiors by Pollaro.
Renowned for larger superyachts, Lurssen does also have a considerable number of smaller vessels and if sources are correct we may see many more Lurssen yachts between the 50 and 60 metre range produced whilst they continue to work on bigger custom built yachts.
