ShowBoats Design Award 2013 awarded to the 74 metre Nobiskrug superyacht MOGAMBO.
From multi-award winners to yacht design newcomers, the 2013 ShowBoats Design Awards highlighted the creative talents behind the most exquisite superyachts delivered in the last year.
The ShowBoats Design Awards 2013 winners were announced in Monaco in an award ceremony that took place at the stunning Monaco Opera House. The night began with a superb operatic performance by the world-famous soprano Mari Moriya and ended with a spectacular celebratory dinner at the Hotel de Paris.
Reymond Langton Design received yet another award at this spectaculatar event, this time winning the 'Recreational area for guest use award' for the sun deck aboard the 73.51m Nobiskurg charter yacht MOGAMBO. Receiving high praise for its dimensions, use of space and fresh design, the judges felt it met the clients’ brief for a multi-function outdoor social space perfectly. Featuring a pool, cinema and a small gym, it incorporates a full shower room within the mast structure to add functionality without distorting the yachts stunning profile.
MOGAMBO was delivered by Nobiskrug in 2012 and was hailed as another masterpiece of German craftsmanship. She was the first yacht to be built in colaboration with the celebrated British based designers Reymond Langton Design who styled both her interior and exterior. Her stunning exterior lines, grey hull, white superstructure and black elements make her stand out from her peers with ease.
Charter yacht MOGAMBO is no stranger to awards, having also won 'Best Motor Yacht' in the category of 1300 GT and above at the 2013 World Superyacht Awards, beating five other superyachts to win a prestigious Neptune trophy.
Together with the highly experienced and dedicated Owners’ Team we created another “Nobiskrug” – a yacht made for an Owner seeking for sleek, contemporary streamlined living with an abundance of outdoor space. - Managing Director Susanne Wiegand
