America's Cup Superyacht Regatta - 8 Yachts to Complete

The America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta kicks off today in San Francisco Bay with eight magnificent sailing yachts confirmed to compete over three America’s Cup Finals lay days.

This is the first time that superyachts will be competing at the heart of the action in their own regatta, on the 9th, 11th and 13th September. They will compete in two classes; the Racing Class which will see sailing yachts such as the 55.5m schooner ADELA, 55m ADELE and the 42.37m AMERICA take to the waves.

The Exhibition Class features an impressive line-up including the 79.25m ATHENA, the 30.48 CHRISCO, 27.5m luxury charter yacht KEALOHA, Oracle Racing’s USA 76, and the 24.38m COCONUT. Superyacht owner’s as well sailing enthusiasts form around the world are expected to visit the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta 2013 to enjoy the exhilarating racing from some of the largest and fastest sailing yachts.

Social events include a cocktail reception hosted by Louis Vuitton, a six-Michelin-starred Napa Valley Owners’ Dinner at Far Wiente Winery, and an end-of-regatta party that will help to raise funds for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to view an impressive fleet of superyachts racing against one another and a perfect event or corporate yacht charter. In-venue berthing is available, offering prime positioning to watch the racing as well as being ideally located next to the America’s Cup Park.
