Alloy sailing yacht Q opens for charter in the Grenadines

Fleet Updates news

By Rebecca Bradbury  11 January 2019

The award-winning 52m/170ft luxury yacht Q is available for charter in Caribbean destinations such as the Grenadines this winter.

Combining an exceptional performance, go-anywhere cruising capabilities and ample sophistication, Q is perfect for those seeking out adventure, excitement and style on their yachting vacation.

Built by New Zealand shipyard Alloy Yachts in 2008, she was met with much acclaim, picking up a number of prestigious awards. She has since undergone a number of updates to ensure she retains her reputation as one of the most highly sought-after sailing yachts in the global charter fleet.

For the very best views of the Caribbean, the flybridge is the place to be. Seating provides an idyllic setup for a casual lunch with optional shading available if required. Then, as the sun sets, guests can clink champagne with loved ones and toast to an unforgettable charter vacation.

Daytime relaxation is best enjoyed on the foredeck. An expanse of sun pads offers an ideal place to bask in the glorious sunshine with a spa pool close at hand. A dip in the ocean is possible too from the retractable swim platform aft. Alternatively, head here to try out the extensive water toy collection.

The sunken aft cockpit, meanwhile, is sure to be the social hub. Sumptuous seating tempts guests to put their feet up with a drink in hand while a central al fresco dining table is large enough to host the entire charter party for delicious dinners cooked by the talented on-board chef.

Opportunities for entertaining and winding down continue into the interior of superyacht Q. Styled by Raymond Langton Design, it features light oak and richly grained Macassar, an updated neutral colour palette and soft edges for a free-flowing feel. The overall result exudes laidback elegance.

A bar greets guests entering the main salon via the aft deck with deep white sofas further forward forming a sociable place to sit. A screen concealing a TV then separates the lounge from a formal dining area. Broken down into these three zones, the salon can serve a variety of occasions.

Q is perfect for those seeking out adventure, excitement and style on their yachting vacation.

The styling continues into the five staterooms, comprised of a master suite, two VIP suites and two twin cabins. Each boasts its own colour scheme, and up to 10 guests can sleep on board.

Made up of 32 uncluttered and unspoilt islands, St Vincent and the Grenadines is among the lesser-travelled destinations of the Caribbean, so can offer a secluded escape with a plethora of marine-rich scuba diving sites, pristine natural beauty and an abundance of barefoot luxury.
