In 2018, the show moved from the Dubai International Marine Club in Mina Seyahi to the new location of the Dubai Canal, Jumeirah. In 2019, the show continued to move once again to the brand-new Dubai Harbour.

Delayed due to canceled editions from ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, the Dubai International Boat Show made a triumphant return to the United Arab Emirates yachting scene in 2022 at the stunning new Dubai Harbour boasting 1,100 berths for superyachts up to 160m (524.9ft). 

As the show evolves, there is also an ever-increasing focus on providing a mix of family entertainment and live events to complete the visitor experience.
