An icon of Croatia
A blissful stretch of golden beach framed by shades of turquoise.
Jutting out on the island of Brac, Zlatni Rat is known as the Golden Horn on account of its unique shape. The exact perimeters of the beach shift daily, according to weather and tidal patterns; but a part of it is always there, rising up out of the Adriatic.
The sliver of beach is a must-see on a crewed yacht charter in Croatia. It’s located in close proximity to the yachting hub of Split, in the heart of the Dalmatian coast, making it well-placed for yacht charter itineraries in Croatia.

The interior of the Zlatni Rat is covered by trees, but the edges are pristine and perfect for a beach picnic or a day spent soaking up the sun. While the beach is made up of shingle, the pebbles are extremely fine across most of the beach.
One side of the peninsula is subject to more wind, making it a surfing and watersport lovers’ paradise. The other is more sheltered, and is great for swimming and snorkelling. Croatia has plenty of sealife worth exploring, and will you be able to get up close to a wide selection just a stones’ throw from the beach.
If you choose to wander through the trees in the direction of the mainland, you will find a number of hiking trails which offer perfect views over the shimmering sea and the yachts at anchor.
