Once you’ve decided to make Canada’s most western province your charter destination you’ll need to start making a list of things to pack into your itinerary schedule as soon as possible. The variation in scenery and abundance of adrenaline-packed activities makes it a hotspot for outdoor activities while its quirky villages and character-filled cities make an all-round destination.

Most charters will embark from British Columbia’s capital Victoria - slated as one of the world’s most beautiful cities - where you can start to unwind for your trip amongst the Victorian tea rooms and quaint antique shops. Not far away is the Pacific coastline on the West Coast where you can trek through the Pacific Rim National Park and marvel at the fjordlike Alberni Inlet.

Vancouver is found on the lower mainland of British Columbia and is known for its vibrant restaurant scene, dramatic vistas and outdoor activities. Its culinary delights are a fusion of Asian and West Coast cuisine, whilst its range of art galleries and cool hangouts are perfect for culture vultures. This is perfectly complemented by a stop-off in the picture-perfect Salt Island which is the most popular for visitors of the Southern Gulf Islands. Cruise into Granges Harbour and soak up the bohemian atmosphere and rural feel for a taste of life in the slow lane.

Amongst the must-do’s in British Columbia is the Desolation Sound Marine Provincial Park. This pristine and stunningly beautiful marine park can be found 10km north of Lund and offers incredible diving, kayaking and canoeing, making good use of the toys on board your charter yacht. There is no road access to the park so you’ll be best placed on board a superyacht to dive in and see a colourful array of colourful sea stars, sea cucumbers, and bull kelp.

If this part of the world appeals to you, be sure to take a look at all of the luxury yachts available to rent in North America.
