Great Keppel Island

9 of 10

Located slightly north of the Tropic of Capricorn and on the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Great Keppel Island enjoys a sub-tropical climate and immense natural beauty. Almost 1,500 hectares in size, Great Keppel is a sanctuary for a diverse range of native flora and fauna, including more than 100 species of birds. Among the best snorkelling spots are Shelving Beach, Monkey Point and Clam Bay, and once the underwater life has been explored, guests have their pick of 17 ‘squeaky-clean’ white sand beaches on which to unwind.
