Introduced as ‘the first European on-water boat show’, the Cannes Yachting Festival will, this year, present a showcase of 600 boats measuring from two to 65 metres. Of these vessels, 155 will be yachts of over 20 metres in length, 100 will be sailing boats and 45 will be multi-hulls.
Using footage from previous editions, the clip reveals the spectacular sight of the attending vessels lined up in the Vieux Port – also known as the Old Port.
This section of the show features brand new builds of all sizes, including multi-hulls, open, sport and fly fishing boats, sailing yachts and superyachts.
Then, panning eastwards across the city’s bay, the video introduces the brokerage and charter zone held in Port Canto. This part of the Cannes Yachting Festival is dedicated to world-class second-hand superyachts available for both sale and private yacht charters.
Sharing the quays with the brokers presenting these luxury yachts will be a new area dedicated to toys, ranging from RIBs and jet skis to cutting-edge Flyboards and Jetpacks.

Other highlights of the Cannes event include the Concours d’elégance – a parade of vintage and modern dayboats to take place on 15 September – and a luxury gallery.
Located in the Palais des Festivals, the gallery will be dedicated to luxury, crafts and lifestyle. Visitors can expect to browse exhibits displaying watches, jewellery, spirits, fashion, decoration and furniture.
YachtCharterFleet will keep readers updated on any show news and happenings as soon as they are announced, including information on any charter yachts that sign up to attend.
