A new video has emerged showcasing the newly-launched 101.5m/333ft superyacht 'Hull 808''s upper deck and radar mast as she undergoes final works at Feadship's yard on Kaag island. Recently launched, she is the first yacht the Dutch yacht builders have built that surpasses the 100-metre mark.
Boasting the status of the largest superyacht to be built in the Netherlands, she is the first Feadship to be complaint with the new Passenger Yacht Code (PYC), meaning she can potentially accommodate between 16 and 20 charter guests on board. Hull 808 is additionally fully certified for helicopter operations during a vacation.
Feadship have announced they will own and operate the vessel, which totals 101.5m in length, with a 14.10m beam and 4.10m draught. De Voogt Naval Architects designed her naval architecture, with the esteemed Tim Heywood Design and Zuretti Interior Design responsible for her exterior and interior styling respectively. Noteworthy amenities on board include a contraflow swimming pool with a waterfall, outdoor cinema and beach club and wellness centre, featuring a glass-bottomed swimming pool.
Powered by four MTU 16V 4000 M73 engines, she is expected to offer a maximum speed of 22 knots and achieve a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
The footage provides insight into Feadship Hull 808's scale and design, and highlights the twin-screw motor yacht's newly-installed top deck. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Her dark blue hull narrows her shape, and has similarities to the design of 70m charter yacht AMADEUS.
Following finishing touches to her upper deck and engine room systems and radio equipment work, she will travel to the newly-enlarged Juliana Lock in Gouda for sea trials in spring.
