The 25th anniversary edition of the Monaco Yacht Show officially opened this morning in Port Hercules, with 40 new launches unveiled for their world premiere.
Today the sun shone on the principality, creating the perfect environment for a busy first day of discovering new launches, unveiling new projects and showcasing the latest must-have tenders and toys.
Last night (Tuesday 22 September), a glitzy inaugural cocktail party was held to celebrate its 25th edition, organised by Monaco Yacht Show’s organisers. During the gala, the 2nd edition of the MYS Superyacht Awards took place, with accolades handed out to winning superyachts selected across 5 categories: The Monaco Award, The Interior Design Award, The Exterior Design Award, The Finest new yacht of the 2015 MYS and The MYS/RINA Award.
Of the approximately 120 in attendance for the 2015 event, in total 49 superyachts are available for charter – comprising of 41 motor yachts and 8 sail yachts. The largest charter yacht on display at the show at the Lürssen motor yacht SOLANDGE, measuring 85m/279ft.
Quayside 500 exhibitors from world-leading luxury yachting companies including shipyards, design companies and brokerage houses.
The Monaco Yacht Show 2015 is open from today until Saturday 26 September, from 10am to 6.30pm.
