Qatar International Boat Show launches its 5th edition

By Rebecca Bradbury   6 March 2018

The Qatar International Boat Show 2018 will get underway at the Pearl-Qatar Island on Tuesday 13th March, bringing five days of superyacht showcases and industry exhibits to the Arabian Gulf.

More than 90 motorboats and luxury yachts from 15 different countries are down to attend QIBS 2018 and the impressive fleet will be displayed both on land and on water.

This will be alongside many of the top names in the maritime industry, both local and international, exhibiting their products and services in chalets along the marina walkway.

There will also be a number of food and beverage outlets and captivating side events, such as marine tours, water activities, marine races and industry-related seminars.

Show organisers from Al Mannai Plus Events are expecting visitor numbers to surpass 15,000 and, in preparation, have extended visitor hours. Running until Saturday 17th March, the show will be open from 2.30pm to 9.30pm each day.

The Qatar International Boat Show is a must-attend event for boaters and anybody thinking of getting into boating. It serves as an ideal maritime-industry networking platform and a key business driver for the marine sector.

Khalid Issa Al Mannai, Chairman of Al Mannai Plus Events, said: ‘This year we are celebrating the fifth edition of QIBS, which has contributed big time in supporting the tourism and exhibitions industry.

‘This has also encouraged private sector investment in the marine industry and exhibitions held during the previous years which have witnessed a huge number of deals worth millions of riyals in addition to attracting thousands of visitors and marine life fans.’
