Monaco Yacht Show 2018 unveils new layout

By Rebecca Bradbury   20 March 2018

The Monaco Yacht Show 2018, running in Monaco’s Port Hercules from 26th to 29th September, is reorganising its in-water and on-land displays to enhance the overall visitor experience.

The new setup will do away with the T central dock and take advantage of the restructuring of the Quai des Etats-Unis. A new 240-metre jetty will extend from the northern part of the harbour and will be dedicated to yacht designers, builders and brokerage houses.

These companies will be placed directly opposite their in-water yachts, offered for both sale and charter, rather than being spread out throughout various tents, as was the case in previous years.

Thus, the changes will make it easier for visitors to the Monaco event to find the industry professionals they are looking for among the expected 120 superyachts in attendance.

Other areas benefiting from the new layout changes include the Darse Sud tent and the Quai Albert 1er, which will both present products and services from nautical suppliers.

The Tenders & Toys zone, launched in 2017, will remain at the Quai Jarlan, but will extend along Quai Antoine 1er. Here, attendees can find luxury tenders, accessories and nautical leisure goods.

Non-yachting exhibits will still be on display in the Parvis Piscine tent, while the Car Deck, a showcase of supercars, and the Starboard Lounge will return to Quai Antoine 1er.

The different transportation networks will also be optimised to make visiting the show even easier. Shuttle boats will serve the main quays, electric golf carts will link Quai Antoine Ier to the Quai Albert Ier tent and the entrance of Quai Antoine Ier will be more centralized.

Around 40 new superyachts will be expected to make their debut at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show, with the world’s most respective shipyards and 580 leading companies from the yachting industry also in show.
