Day 3 at the Mediterranean Yacht Show 2017

By Rebecca Bradbury   1 May 2017

The penultimate day of the 2017 Mediterranean Yacht Show, held in Nafplion, Greece, has been a resounding success, with even more yacht viewings, chef competitions and networking taking place.

More than 80 superyachts in Nafplion harbour were sparkling in the gorgeous Greek sunshine as the third day of 2017’s Mediterranean Yacht Show got underway this morning.

Before the doors opened, however, an information hour on ‘MYBA and the East Mediterranean’ took a closer look at luxury yacht charters in Greece, Turkey and other destinations in the region.

As usual, yacht viewings took place from 10am as luxury brands, marine accessories and boat builders in the exhibition zone displayed their services to show-goers.

It was also the final day of the popular Chefs’ Competition, with entrants aiming to impress judges by creating the best raw food dish using only Greek products. Winners will be unveiled at the farewell party tomorrow night at Blue Sky Karathonas Beach.

Attending the show, the YachtCharterFleet team was on the red carpet in Nafplion harbour, checking out must-see yachts, such as the 52m/174ft superyacht PEGASUS from renowned shipyard Feadship and the 50m/164ft superyacht MARLA, built by another Dutch yard, Amels.

There are also a number of catamarans and Turkish gulets taking part in the show and YachtCharterFleet stepped aboard the 46m/152ft luxury gulet ARKTOS for a guided tour from the captain.

This evening, a wine and food yacht hop will take place aboard two Ferretti builds: the 27m/89ft superyacht ‘Day Off’ and the 25m/83ft superyacht ‘Julie M’.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd May) will be the final day of the Mediterranean Yacht Show and YachtCharterFleet will begin the day with breakfast aboard the 37m/121ft superyacht PANDION from Dutch shipyard Heesen.
