As the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) continues to grow, this year's 23rd edition will feature a section dedicated to showcasing exemplary sailing yachts.
Taking place against the backdrop of Dubai's glitzy skyline from 3 to 7 March, the 2015 Dubai Boat Show will actively promote sailing, as it becomes an increasingly popular charter option in the country. The event will provide the perfect opportunity for enthusiasts and prospective sailing yacht charterers to gather with exhibitors to admire some of the most impressive vessels currently in the global fleet.
Commenting on the growing popularity of sailing, James Shuttleworth of Dubai Offshore Sailing Club commented that “We are definitely seeing increased interest in sailing here in Dubai," adding that “The conditions here in Dubai are ideal for sailing, with year-round sunny weather, favourable wind conditions and water being such a big part of Dubai life."
This year's show will feature an 'interactive zone' for everyone from novices to the experienced to get to grips with sailing and get expert advice. On the 6 and 7 March the impressive Dubai Marine will also host a match race, allowing visitors to experience first-hand what the hard-working members of sailing yacht crews do on board to ensure guests always enjoy a first-class sailing experience.
