The 22nd edition of the Dubai Boat Show has now opened its doors and looks set to welcome thousands of visitors from around the world over the next four days.
Having grown rapidly in popularity over the last few years, the 2014 Dubai Boat Show is one of the most anticipated events on the yachting industry’s calendar and the premiere maritime and lifestyle exhibition within the Middle East. More than 840 leading international, regional and local exhibitors from 50 countries will be providing a spectacular display of supercars, luxury lifestyle products and services and of course superyachts.
The 88.5m/290’3 OceanCo-built charter yacht NIRVANA is in attendance this year’s and will be the largest vessel ever exhibited in the show’s history. She will be available for inspection by prior appointment amongst a line-up of finely crafted vessels available on the sales market including some brand new models unveiled for the first time.
Also featured at the show are live diving demonstrations which provide visitors with the opportunity to see what the United Arab Emirates waters have to offer. The diving show hosts a series of presentations on state-of-the-art diving gear and equipment, training programmes and projects taking place around the region. Participants will be introduced to the latest scuba diving skills and techniques by qualified instructors in the dedicated DMEX pool.
The expansive coastline of the UAE ensures a myriad of excellent dive sites, the more popular areas being Fujeirah, Khorfakkan and Musandam along the Gulf of Oman and Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi along the Persian or Arabian Gulf. In all of these areas there are a variety of sites that range from shallow to beyond recreational dive depths, meaning there are have sites that cater to all levels of training and experience.
