Curlew is built with a wood hull and wood superstructure, with wood decks. Powered by 1 x diesel Perkins (4LHA-HTP) 160hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 7 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 9 knots with a range of up to 400 nautical miles from her 499 litre fuel tanks at 7 knots. Her water tanks store around 798 Litres of fresh water.
