The 36.58m/120' expedition yacht 'Kahu' (ex. HMNZS Manawanui (A09)) was built by Whangarei Engineering & Construction Ltd (WECO) in New Zealand at their Whangarei shipyard. She originally served as a New Zealand navy patrol vessel before being converted into a yacht by Fitzroy Yachts in 2011. She was last refitted in 2012.
Kahu has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests in 6 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Range & Performance
Kahu is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Kahu comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 32,000 litre fuel tanks at 7 knots. Her water tanks store around 7,000 Litres of fresh water.
