The 106.96ft custom Sail yacht 'Ming' was built by Alloy Yachts in New Zealand at their Auckland shipyard , she was delivered to her owner in 1991 and last refitted in 2014. This luxury vessel's sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Dubois. Previously named Esprit, Her exterior is styled by the Dubois team who are also responsible for the entire engineering package.
Ming's interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests overnight in 3 cabins, comprising a master suite, 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Ming features a displacement aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) classification society rules.
Powered by 1 MTU (TC 183 Series V12) 452hp diesel engines and propelled by her single screw propeller sailing yacht Ming is capable of a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots when powered by her engine. With her 21,500 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 5,500 litres of fresh water.
