The 42m/137'10" motor yacht 'Tranquillity' (ex. Jamaica Bay) was built by Amels in the Netherlands at their Makkum shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design and she was completed in 1984. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Diana Yacht Design and she was last refitted in 2008.
Tranquillity has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Tranquillity is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (D398 PC-TA) 12-cylinder 850hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 50,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 13,800 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules.
