The 30m/98'5" sail yacht 'Medusa' (ex. Illusion of the Isles) was built by Southern Wind in South Africa at their Cape Town shipyard. Her interior is styled by American designer design house Nauta Yachts and she was completed in 2006. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Nauta Yachts.

Medusa has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Medusa is built with a composite hull and composite superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 1 x diesel Cummins (QSB 5.9) 509hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 8 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 11 knots with a range of up to 3,915 nautical miles from her 4,200 litre fuel tanks. Her water tanks store around 2,500 Litres of fresh water.
