The 70m/229'8" expedition yacht 'Redemption' (ex. Komet) was built by Amadeus Yachts at their Wilhelmshaven shipyard. Her interior is styled by French designer design house Zuretti and delivered in August 1969. She originally served as a Research vessel before being converted into a yacht by Jong Shyn in 2006. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Reymond Langton Design and she was last refitted in 2017.

Redemption has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin and two cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Redemption is built with a steel hull and steel/aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512 B) 1,850hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 8,400 nautical miles from her 281,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Redemption features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 77,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to DNV (Det Norske Veritas) 1A1 LC R0 Yacht classification society rules.
