The 70m/229'8" expedition yacht 'Amadeus' (ex. Komet) was built by Amadeus Yachts at their Wilhelmshaven shipyard. Her interior is styled by French designer design house Zuretti and delivered in August 1969. She originally served as a Research vessel before being converted into a yacht by Jong Shyn in 2006. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Reymond Langton Design and she was last refitted in 2024.
Guest Accommodation
Amadeus has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 suites comprising two VIP cabins and three cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. The master suite incorporates its own study benefits from a his and her bathroom. She is also capable of carrying up to 23 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Onboard Comfort & Entertainment
Her features include wheelchair accessibility, movie theatre, sauna, elevator, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.
Range & Performance
Amadeus is built with a steel hull and steel/aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512 B) 1,850hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 8,000 nautical miles from her 257,500 litre fuel tanks at 11 knots. Amadeus features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 44,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to DNV (Det Norske Veritas) 1A1 LC R0 Yacht classification society rules.
