The 55m/180'5" motor yacht 'Penguin' (ex. Kapitän Hilgendorf) was built by Schichau Unterweser at their Bremerhaven shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Birgit Schnaase and she was completed in 1961. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Newcruise and she was last refitted in 2009.
Penguin has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 17 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Penguin is built with a steel hull and steel superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 3 x diesel MTU (12V 2000M50A) engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 6,334 nautical miles from her 114,000 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 21,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Germanischer Lloyd classification society rules.
