The 48.6m/159'5" expedition yacht 'The Mercy Boys' (ex. Shandor) was built by Schweers. Her interior is styled by design house John Munford and she was completed in 1985. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Gerhard Gilgenast and she was last refitted in 2008.
The Mercy Boys has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 12 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Her features include an elevator, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.
The Mercy Boys is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 1 x diesel MAK (8 Cylinder 8M332) 2,300hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 100,000 litre fuel tanks at 13 knots. An on board stabilization system ensures comfort when underway. Her water tanks store around 24,000 Litres of fresh water.
