Scorpius is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with steel decks. Powered by 1 x diesel Detroit Diesel (GM 6V71) 240hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 9 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 10 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 19,682 litre fuel tanks at 9 knots. Her water tanks store around 2,498 Litres of fresh water.
