The 103.02ft custom Motor yacht 'Five Star' was built by McQueens in Canada at their Vancouver, BC shipyard , she was delivered to her owner in 1989 and last refitted in 1993. This luxury vessel's sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Jack Sarin. Previously named Kay Jay, Her exterior is styled by the Jack Sarin team who are also responsible for the entire engineering package.
Five Star's interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests overnight in 3 cabins, comprising a master suite, 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard in 2 cabins to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Five Star features a semi-displacement grp hull and grp superstructure, with teak over grp decks.
This luxury yacht is also fitted with 'zero speed stabilizers' which work at anchor, increasing on-board comfort when the yacht is stationary, particularly in rough waters.
Powered by 2 Detroit Diesel (8V-92TA) 735hp diesel engines and propelled by her twin screw propellers Motor yacht Five Star is capable of a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 3,500 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 1,600 litres of fresh water.
