Southern Cloud comfortably cruises at 7 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 12 knots with a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles from her 18,000 litre fuel tanks at 7 knots. Her water tanks store around 12,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to BV (Bureau Veritas) classification society rules.
