The 40m/131'3" motor yacht 'Taurica' (ex. Galatea) was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by Dutch designer design house Omega Architects and she was delivered to her owner in March 2014. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Heesen.
Guest Accommodation
Taurica has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising two VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Range & Performance
Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M73L) 16-cylinder 3,800hp engines running at 2050rpm, she comfortably cruises at 27 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 29 knots with a range of up to 2,200 nautical miles from her 36,000 gallon fuel tanks at 12 knots. Taurica features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 8,000 Gallons of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, ✠AMS classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.
