Why Not's interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 9 guests overnight in 4 cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Why Not features a planing grp hull and grp superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) classification society rules.
Powered by 2 Textron Lycoming (Vericor TF40) 4,385hp gas turbine engines and propelled by her triple waterjets Motor yacht Why Not is capable of a top speed of 55 knots, and comfortably cruises at an exhilarating 47 knots. She can carry around 20,000 litres of gas turbine on-board in her fuel tanks. Her water tanks store around 2,000 litres of fresh water.
Launched in 2001 she is the flagship of the Mangusta 108 series. Her twin Lycoming gas turbines engines combined with triple Kamewa waterjets set her apart from others in the range. Generating 8,770hp they give her a top speed of 55 knots. Apparently they sound they sound like a plane taking off!
