8 Days, from Calvi to St Tropez

Resplendent in wild beauty, steeped in history and untouched by tourism, the French island of Corsica offers a unique blend of class and charm. With deep secluded bays, sun-kissed stretches of sand, quaint fishing villages and miles of picturesque coastline, the yachting hotspot is certainly well suited for discovering by superyacht, while vineyards, historical sites and enigmatic hilltop village entice on-land exploration.

  • Day 1Pick Up at Calvi

    Start your Mediterranean yacht charter in Calvi, a destination full of life and an interesting culture.

    Situated at the south tip of a bay who’s beach stretches for 6 km from the town. We will proceed out to anchor to allow everyone to settle in and enjoy an afternoon dip in the crystal clear waters of the bay. In the evening we will take a short cruise down the coast to Girolata (25nm about 2hours) with it’s Genoese fort that protected the small anchorage for their vessels from the Westerly’s

  • Day 2Girolata Morning Cruise To Capo Rosso

    From Girolata will take a short cruise (about 1 hour) between headlands to Capo Rosso for some exploration by tender through the nature reserve.

  • Day 3Day at the Beach

    A day at the beach, on the beach, in the water, this is a beautiful spot with fine sand that when feel it between your toes it makes you forget the world around you.

    In the afternoon we will move to Bonifacio, (20nm around 2.5 hours to get there and dock) one of the most dramatic port entrances in the Mediterranean where you can enjoy the night life around the port area and explore the historic walled Citadel.

  • Day 4Morning Move to Sardinia

    Moving from Bonifacio to Sardinia (30nm, 2.5hour travel) you will have a choice of anchorages for the day, Cala di Volpe, Liscia di Vacca, Golfo di Marinella to relax and swim.

    Spend the night in Porto Cervo enjoying the shops and cafes (takes around an hour from the anchorage).

  • Day 5Maddalena Islands

    Now a national park (1 hour or there about travel depending on choice of anchorage) this is a beautiful area to explore by tender.

    In the evening watch the sun go down in your peaceful surroundings with a relaxing drink in your hand.

  • Day 6Ile Piano

    This beautiful area (1.5 hours from last anchorage) of Corsica gives the feeling like you are in the Caribbean.

    Early evening we will take a short two hour cruise to Porto Veechio ( 23nm or 2 hours travel), to allow everyone to stretch their legs ashore in this old walled town. From here we will travel over night to Elba (8 hours).

  • Day 7Elba

    Famously the home of Napoleon for quite a few years.

    Elba is a wonderful island full of history and interesting sites with a choice of some peaceful anchorages to chose from and a lively town to wonder around in the evenings.

  • Day 8Passage from Elba to St Tropez

    Total miles is 166 and is a 12 to 14 hour passage. We recommend to have a stopover at the tip of Corsica, near the town of Saint Florence, which is 4 hour’s cruise from Elba.

    Depart from Saint Florence in the late afternoon, and cruise the remaining 120 miles overnight to arrive in the early morning in St Tropez.
