Windswept palm trees on a paradise Fiji island

27th May 2014

The Fijian archipelago is a haven for luxury yacht charters, perfect for adventurous travellers looking to discover remote, sun-drenched South Pacific islands.

The 332 islands that make up Fiji incorporate a fantastic mix of cultures including Rotuman, Melanesian, Polynesian and Indo Fijians that in turn ensure an exciting mix of historical sites, exciting cities and fantastic cuisine. With more than two-thirds of the Fijian population occupying the main islands of Viti Levu which is home to the capital of Nadi and Vanua Levu, there are a myriad of unspoilt islands just waiting to be explored when you step ashore.

The volcanic nature of the Fijian islands makes for some spectacular backdrops to your charter vacation, no more so than the breath-taking Yasawa Island group. Boasting crystal-clear waters and still home to traditional village tribes, this beautiful cluster of islands and islets offers a true escape from daily life.

Although an increasingly popular yacht charter destination choice, Fiji is possibly best known for its world-class dive sites that are dotted throughout the region and is widely considered the ‘soft coral capital of the world’. Both seasoned and novice divers will enjoy these protected waters, full of reefs, walls, drop-offs and of course a thriving variety of marine life.
