YachtCharterFleet Heads to the Mediterranean Yacht Show

By Rebecca Bradbury   6 May 2016

YachtCharterFleet and an impeccable line-up of charter yachts are about to reach Nafplio, Greece, for the third edition of the Mediterranean Yacht Show, which kicks off tomorrow morning.

The next four days at 2016's Mediterranean Yacht Show will entail a lively programme of receptions, speeches, exhibition areas, a Chefs’ Competition and a whole host of yacht viewings.

YachtCharterFleet will be there, reporting back on all the action from the red carpet and updating YachtCharterFleet.com with the latest event news.

An industry-only meet, the show will welcome the leading charter brokers to the Greek port town, where they will be able to step aboard the impressive charter yachts in attendance, meet captains and crew, and provide their clients with indepth feedback and advice.

The show commences on Saturday morning when the yachts will open for viewing and, in the evening, an official opening ceremony in the port of Nafplion will provide a glittering welcome to the yacht professionals, who have travelled to Greece from across the world.

Among the 76 yachts signed up to attend are the 2015-built 72m/236ft superyacht ‘O’pari 3’ from Golden Yachts, Feadship’s 46m/150ft superyacht ANCALLIA and the striking 50m/164ft sailing yacht ‘Baracuda Valletta’, launched by Perini Navi in 2009.

A range of exhibitors are also preparing to showcase their luxury products and yachting services, and this year’s Chef Competition will see competitors cooking up a Greek feast to create the ‘Next Famous Hellenic Dish’.

A new tablescaping competition is also set to take place for the very first time, allowing crews to join in the contest.

YachtCharterFleet will be on hand, of course, covering the results as they are announced as well as reporting on other findings from the show, which runs until Tuesday May 10.
